Planning Places provides a range of planning services for tourism developments in rural and remote areas and is owned and operated by Sharon Harwood. Sharon has extensive experience in designing nature based recreation and eco tourism settings and holds a Bachelor of Leisure Studies (hons), a Master of Applied Science (Tropical Urban and Regional Planning) and is currently studying towards a Doctorate of Philosophy at Charles Darwin University on bird watching tourism.
Sharon is also a Corporate Member (MPIA) (Urban and Regional Chapter and Social Planning Chapter) and a Certified Practicing Planner (CPP) of the Planning Institute of Australia. The business philosophy of Planning Places is to do more than just plan and map land uses. Planning Places uses the natural features within a defined space to create a Place for people to enjoy and experience memorable times.
